Meet Dr. Ashley
I have always had an interest in the intricacies of the human body and its resilience. I strive to understand the why behind symptom patterns, and uses this information to educate my patients on how to support the body’s intrinsic ability to heal. Naturopathic medicine was an obvious fit, as it combines patient connection and empowerment with innovative outcome-driven healthcare.
As a naturopathic doctor I take a holistic approach, using your comprehensive health history, appropriate diagnostic testing and clinical findings to determine the root cause of your concern. I use my understanding of the body’s physiology to develop creative, evidence-informed treatment options. Together, we establish an integrative plan that works for you. The process is reinforced with strategic monitoring and adjustments as needed, so you feel supported every step of the way. Medicine and its language can be daunting. It is my goal to simplify, educate and empower you to make informed decisions.
During my undergraduate degree, I spent years studying the different metabolic pathways, gene regulation and molecular physiology. The complexity of the human biology was astounding to me. What really struck me was how everything was interdependent; all the systems rely on one another to conduct their functions and maintain balance.
Fast forward to my time working in research, designing and conducting numerous experiments in the pharmaceutical industry, I truly began to understand how fluid and unique biology is. No two people function exactly the same. Our genes are different, our environments are different, our stressors are different. With these lessons, naturopathic medicine was a natural fit. Supporting the individual so they can live their life vitally has become my mission.
